The Wild West

Spring didn’t come early. It just arrived earlier than the official date, which is September 1st. And it does this every year. I’ve always thought it silly to put a date on the change of seasons. But I guess you have you. It’s a great marketing strategy. I mean how would anyone know when the Spring sales will start?

Here Spring means the usual, flowers, bird life, milder mornings, lambs on the hillside. It also means wind. Mostly the North Wester, which is relentless. A stroll on the beach becomes a push. Sand rushes in swirling gusts toward you, stinging your face. Waves are white capped, cooling the wind that little more.

There is no escape when you live on the west coast. You are shaped and influenced by your environment. And the only and best way to deal with this is with a good attitude. Get out there amongst it all. Face off against that Wild West wind.
